'Sisterhood' is about women bonding. It was co-written by Geetu Hinduja along with singer songwriter and friend Kelli Eagan from Boston for a few performances last year called ‘Girls and Guitars’. 5 singer songwriters came together to collaborate on each other's material and Sisterhood was an outcome of that collaboration. It essentially talks about how women can heal and make the world a better place by forming a strong bond. When women decide to come together to collaborate, to work together: a metamorphosis takes place, you sense a positivity in their approach to one another where otherwise there may have been a competitive edge to their interaction.
The decision to take the song a step further was a natural one. Geetu convinced eight incredibly talented women musicians to join her to collaborate and record the audio and music video live for this song. The plan is to release this music video on various digital platforms with the help of various organisations/ngos by the end of February, to be able to build a momentum by Women's International Day this year.
Sisterhood celebrates women, empowers women and creates a sense of camaraderie, nurturing, fostering, compassion and empathy not only towards one another but all of humanity too.

The idea is to build a momentum, spread the word, and create a buzz for International Womens Day.
Geetu Hinduja has worked as a gallerist and art consultant for over 15 years and has presented several art shows, represented various artists and has worked as an art consultant in the context of Contemporary Indian Art. Her penchant for collaborations and her understanding of presenting artists in a specific context gave rise to the project titled ‘Sisterhood’.
Geetu comes from a generation where women were often women's worst enemies, where having a male child to propagate the ‘Vansh’ was a very important part of a woman’s journey. She was often pushed into believing this myth by the women around her. Inheritance rights were always skewed in favour of sons and often still are. She has witnessed this at close quarters in well to do families and in various strata’s of society across all state lines in the country. The statistics on female infanticide are abominable.
